Person of Interest=Interesting Show

CBS aired the premiere episode of Person of Interest on Thursday evening. I've been looking for  a new show ever since Friday Night Lights aired its last episode. I think Person of Interest might fill the void nicely--although I'm also looking forward to Terra Nova

What I loved, LOVED about POI is the reluctant hero theme. It is one that I've explored in all my writing, along with the element of paranormal, or sci-fi twist of knowing the future. It's like someone took a peek inside my mind and created a show just for me. The only way it would be better is if Kyle Chandler starred in it, but Jim Caviezel is certainly easy on the eyes as well. No complaints in that department!

I also loved the action sequences. Writing scenes like that is my biggest challenge, so perhaps watching how they are played out on POI will help with that aspect of my writing. Finch will add that aspect of friendship, I hope. I love a good buddy show.

So, we have the reluctant hero theme covered, as well as the paranormal element, lots of action and what else? Oh yeah. I'm betting there's a dark, shadowy government agency in the background that will come into play. The agency that owns The Machine. I can't wait to see that story arc develop.
